New owner operators getting paid 1.05 loaded miles plus fuel surcharge and .90 empty miles.

    Yea the rates haven’t changed much since then, but everything else has....

    You need to figure out your operating costs and figure in a truck payment even if it’s paid for as one day you will need $$ for either repairs or a new one

    I figure the first $1 per mile for all miles not just loaded miles goes to my truck so anything over that is my pay

    At $1.20 That leaves you $0.20 to drive plus headaches


    As mentioned percentage means nothing

    I get 90% but I’ve been talking with a driver at LS and it seems even with their larger take that the numbers are closer than the 17% swing
