Do you need/run California?
glider no FET, or sales tax.....pretty big difference IMO....hello 7 mpg and no need to mess with that goat piss.Jokingypsy and Cetane+ Thank this. -
$150,000.00 for brand new loaded up pete isn't bad at all by todays standards. You can load up a Cascadia and get into the mid 140's no problem.

I'm looking at Fitzgerald's web site, and like what I see, but am a little concerned about longevity of a reman motor, tranny, and rear end...Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -
In Europe it has been used since '06.
Has it's own tank.
Is made out off Urea mixture.
Is injected in the exhaust, has no influence on MPG unlike EGR.(is completely seperate from the engine systems) -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urea
Urea injection is a chemically modified goat piss. I have a few miles in a rental truck with it. it didn't run too bad, and got 6.5mpg running hard, but what a friggin hassle. this was a couple year ago before it got main stream whereas now alot of stops have it in the pump form.
Id like to note on that, alot of these smaller truck stops which have the best diesel prices don't have the pumps for urea...so even more hassle if you try to get the best fuel price in the area.
If you dont run CA why the heck would you not get a Glider.
Ive had awesome experience with Fitzgerald and will buy my next one there without a doubt, but others have had great success with Harrison Truck center in IA.
longevity...these are the motors that made Detroit famous for longevity and mileage. rears are new with a 1 million mile warranty. buddy of mine has 2.4 million on his 1998 KW and only two reman's on his 13 speed. I dont think that would what id be worried about.Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -
If you are looking for good MPG,you might look into using a drive+tag axle setup vs a twin screw.
Some compagies are now going that way as it is now availeble straight from the factory. -
