    Ill be running crude. I can get the pto matched to the trans easy enough.. I'm just wondering about installin myself vs getting it done.

    Since going to a hydropak, I'd never go back to shaft. I have a Roper & Quincy and I have no more maintenance then you do. Wait till the first time your pump jams and it twists the shaft of the pto, then tell you you wouldn't want a hydropak. I'm not knocking a shaft setup, I had one at first, but there's a reason a lot of companies use hydraulics, plus It's also expandable fairly easily. As far as more maintenance, I change the filter once a year, so actually less then you're doing since your supposed to be greasing the ujoints on the shafts every couple of months.

    Yeh, I think its Energy Transfer, they run setups like that in day cabs. Some companies dont want that style because they want overflow protection. ‍♂️ I installed mine in the driveway though. Got it done.
