Swapped out the original radiator with a brand new one! Truck isn't heating up any more; staying in range @ 180 degrees (talking about the water temp) VERY VERY dirty.. cost just under $2500 for parts labor and fuel used to get there. Not to shabby- agree or disagree?

Agree. I had my W900 re-cored with a 4 row core ( original was 3 row) , all new stainless tubing, CAC pressure tested, new long life cat coolant and came in pretty much same as you did on cost. Rad core was custom made on premises at the rad shop I used. Really good quality, very reputable shop. So I think it pays to get quality over cheaper price.

Those T600's are notorious for overheating due to the opening in the hood for the air being very small. Rollincoal also had this issue and put in a new radiatior and had success!!!

Price seems a bit high, but labor rates vary. I know DRC sells the radiatoor for about $1,000. I'm guessing you went with a OEM replacement for that price.

Yeah I put a 4 row Active in mine. The first one was leaking having to be replaced after about 35K miles, they swapped me a new one for free, but even so it left a bad taste. I do like how it keeps things cool though. My truck tends to ride right at about 192-194* and the highest I have seen it go yet is 199* on the CAT ID. The only time the fan kicks on is when the intake sensor temp reaches 150*, which happens during the day on steep grades, but it never kicks on for water temps. For the life of me I just don't understand why they put 550hp engines in these T6's installing such a lousy radiator from the factory to keep it cool...

I think I came in at under a grand. 4 row core delivered to my door from Detroit Radiator, new isolator rubbers from F-liner, can of Rustoleum, and new gr 8 bolts I had to buy because the ones DR shipped with core were only one length and I needed 3 different lengths.

Did it myself and cleaned/painted my CAC, AC condenser, top tank, fan, fan shroud, engine front cover and front frame crossmember.
