I'm saying you are playing stupid, not that you are stupid. Keep trying to take the easy way out.

Whats is that going to do? Will I need to run thought all this again to get someone up to speed? Mark, Thanks for your free time, the Garmin rep that was just gave up and went away. ;) Lucky you.

Thanks for sticking around, that says something.

Pretty sure the 710 and 720 had a different operating system than the 730. So yes, of course it would matter a lot which model you want to ask about. I never had any freeze up issues with the 710 or 720. The hardware failed on me with those models. The 730 used to freeze up all the time until I stopped loading four or five trips in advance on it. Now it just freezes once a day or so.

    Serial number off the back?

If it is the EL model you possible could have corrupted files. I can tell this in the logs if you had a crash. This would then cause issues depending on which files are corrupt.

Note, the D/R on the Dock does not look at the Navi/User or RM/User files as these are user only.

There is no way to check them except to rename them and let them build again.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Now have you moved any user files to it from any other models?

Not files, no. I did move the address book from my old unit using the backup/restore function in the dock (as per the RM support center website) . It's pretty big now. I've been growing it for about six years and it has been exported/imported thru every model upgrade. Other than that, no.

I import the red light camera and speed camera POI file from POI Factory periodically.
