Just got my truck back from a certified CAT dealer for a camshaft replacment. Was told that because it had an aftermarket injector, which was 2 weeks old, it would have to be replaced before the truck could leave the shop. Apparently new regulations coming from EPA in the last 2 weeks. Anyone else having this problem?
New Regulations from EPA, no aftermarket parts?

Some just barely, but hey! -
Please post the CAT Dealer address, we would like to add them to our phone list when calling fraud to corporate CAT.
@wore outCat sdp, jsnell, 25(2)+2 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Happened to look at the so called aftermarket injector that was replaced. The letters CAT are cast into the injector housing... Supposed to call back in the morning to talk about the subject.
Cat sdp and peterbilt_2005 Thank this. -
jsnell and peterbilt_2005 Thank this.

if the injector just wasn't working correctly for one reason or another, they should have given you the opportunity to replace it, or take it back to who replaced it, under thier warranty. -
By that logic, the entire aftermarket parts industry is about to come crashing down.
