Boy does that seem familiar! I just got over a "cold" that lasted the whole week. Never that I can remember a cold that bad. Bigtime chest cold, first a real sore, sore throat, next I couldn't talk for two days, three days after that horsey/froggy voice and all the ick. I don't know what would have happened if I wouldn't have taken my immunity boost of vitamin c.
3 days - 1000 milg 3x a day.
the next 3 days - 1000 miligram once a day.
I know this is why I have 400 hours of sick leave available!

I read this article last night and it made me wonder. I had the flu last month for the first time in almost 15 years. I spent two days in bed, which I never have had to do before. It wiped me out bad. It took almost two weeks to feel back to normal.

I suggest EVERYONE get a flu shot every year...I get one every year AND a pneumonia shot every 5 years AND a Tetanus show every 7 years. I DID get the flu about 2 years ago on Christmas day, but I fought it off fast and lasted only a day. You CAN still get the flu, but your body "remembers" how to fight it off then. That new cold strain and the other strains that are resistant to penicillin are scary though. Problem is, people don't take ALL the penicillin once they "feel" better...and all this time the diseases are learning how to adapt. Sigh, I guess we ARE do for a worldwide epidemic soon...been a LONG time since the last one.
