I have been driving on my Class B for about 16 months/ over 100,000 miles. I now want to upgrade to the Class A. I need to know if a new road test with a trailer will be required...or, will I only have a quiz to take at the DMV?

That's what I figured. I just needed a confirmation. I'm switching jobs and want to be able to use my current employers vehicles to go test in(FREE!)... then, pass, then go to my new place/job! Lol.

I had a guy in my class that had a class B and decide to try driving a school bus, so he had to go back to school to get the class C. After driving school bus for a year he knew it was not for him. He decided to drive regional and had to go to school to get class A.
Now, this is Ohio and it is difficult to find a place to practice or test unless you are enrolled in school due to insurance requirements. DMV test sites will not let you test unless you are specifically covered by insurance.
You may find it different where you are, but most states have the insurance hurdle to contend with.
Good luckchromdome Thanks this. -
