My wife wants me to look at being a small fleet operator. I looked up a few smaller operators in the Chicaogland area and found individuals fleet operators claiming 3 to 10 trucks whose office is operating out of their homes claiming a revenue anywhere between $600,000 and $2,000,000.
How does one get started doing this and is 15% to 20% Net Net (Money you can actually take of the business to live on) realistic?
Its amazing how many small and even larger private fleet operators are operating out of their homes. I say that because if I look up the mailing address Google Maps shows a residential location.
Last, any associations or groups where a new fleet want-a-be can hook up with a Mentor/Sponsor in order to network and grow. Instead of competition think of me as Co-opetition.
