My truck has been completely repaired! It looks brand new again. :} has a few red paint scratches but its barely noticeable unless you're looking for it. They did a great job here repairing it so serious. Plus I am so glad I don't have to move all my items from this truck to another truck. /sigh /WHEW!! :}
New soon to be swift trainee!

Back out over the road. I kinda sorta missed it. Just decked new truck out with a new cooler. About to stock it up with my favorite cereal and other things. Though... its cold!! In Illinois. Texas weather fooled me!

In Minnesota. Last night it was in the negative degrees. While driving my front heater of cab was not working at all. So I was freezing. Parked for the night; set my idle so i could idle all night; cranked up my bunk heater and settled in for the night. This little vovlvo idled all night no problem. Now its stuffy and warm in here but I'll keep it like this. I will never again complain about it being too hot again. Louisiana body doesnt like negative degree weather. No sir.

Currently in oklahoma. On my 10 hour break just relaxing. It feels better in 50 degree weather than in the negative degrees. Lol. On my way to Louisiana. Feels good to be in the south again.

Currently in Pennsylvania about 100+ miles from New York City. Just relaxing at a Petro, reading a book. The last two weeks I have been working really hard. Driving more miles than I have previously. I like this. I am going to see how long I can stretch my recap hours. How long have any of you done recap hours?

Was in Illinois at the beginning of the winter storm that is hitting the North East early this morning. Saw an overturned truck and trailer coming from a shipper. The roads were snowy, slush and wet and trucks were going like it was dry still. What's bad is a snow plower was just coming from his direction. I feel bad for him because I don't know if he was going to fast or if he was asleep at the wheel but I took it slow all day since then. I'm always conscience of weather and traffic conditions but when I see a truck in an accident or turned over I take it extra careful. Even more so. I hope he is ok.

Looks like this thread turned into your blog...LoL I just got my trainer from Central Refrigerated and am heading out on the road for my first time tomorrow. Hope this 200 hours behind the wheel go by fast. Can't wait to get back home for a few days. It's been a long, but somewhat exciting time. Got a lot of useful information from this thread. Thanks everyone who contributed.
truckermetz Thanks this. -
