It's like these Qualcomm macros are some kind of top secret military code that I'm trying to crack. This is Flyntstone's girlfriend. Y'all just call me Wilma. Flynstone is somewhere in Georgia right now, and has been parked all day, but the darn Qualcomm is showing him in violation on his hours! Can anyone help? He's already messaged his planner, and hasn't received a response in hours, and called his previous mentor, who told him not to worry about it! How can you not worry about it? Anyway, if there is a Qualcomm pro out there, private message me.

Can you be more specific about the hours violation?
If he drove past his 11, or his 14hr clock dried up @ a shipper then do a 10hr break and roll out once break is up, the qc will reset. Then call dm/safety to help resolve the problem in am. -
He has just called back and said that his planner walked him through it, but do you have any tips?
-
If he is in violation of his HOS, this doesn't bode well for his future. He just spent 6 weeks training. He had to log every activity of every day on the QC for that time. He's in trouble if he suddenly can't manage it on his own.DenaliDad Thanks this. -
If all fails and yer legal, roll out and go on paper logs. Then get with dm/safety and have them fix the problem on their end. They know how long you've sat, drove, etc and can verify yer problem if there is any questionable doubt.
I've messed up once, and done this and safety in phx fixed me right.. safety is the only one, from my understanding, that can edit line 3(drive line). Now I don't approve my logs on qc for a few days, just incase. -
I'm afraid that he's in serious trouble then. He says that the mentor never really spent any time teaching him the macros and when to use them.
-
In his blue drivers handbook there is a section on macros, what to send and when and what order to send them.
-
Or, do you keep a second set - 'just in case'?
Personally, I try to keep my logs accurate as I do things.
Accurate enough that I can hit the 'Approve' button at any time. -
I'm on the phone with him now and telling him. He's found the page that tells him about the order now. Thank you!

It's a computer.
As such, it records events as they happen, and as they are entered.
If it shows a violation, then he probably needs another QC class to show him how to do it right.
Or, he needs to be more vigilant in how he uses it.
Either way, a first violation for a newbie shouldn't be a game breaker.
It should only be indicative of needing more training.
