My fav is Chapel Hill Smoke House Chapel Hill TX. Mouth starts to water in the parking lot from the smell.

 

Jerry Mikeskas is in Columbus TX at the 696 on I 10 and it is the bomb,..maybe the best brisket I have had. He is on the north side of 10, dont make the mistake of going to the little truckstop on the south side at that exit, they also have a BBQ joint inside it and it sux. Mikeskas has ample truck parking and you wont leave hungry.
There is another BBQ joint down on US 287 in Chillicothe TX its on the east side of 287 right in town with some truck parking , but I cant remember the name,..it was really good.

The one the OP is asking about is overpriced and serves portions that would barely satisfy a 3rd grader. The taste was ok but for 9 bucks, I could have eaten 2 plates and still not had enough.

Isn't there another stop that sells Jerky like that off I-35???? It has a BIG display of all kinds of different flavored jerky and its across the street from a truck stop. There was either a Dairy Queen or Sonic inside and before the 35W and 35E split. We were in our car so I can't remember if trucks can get in there.

Anyways, a great place to stop for Jerky.

I do believe you're right...just wondering how thats gonna effect the Shell Truckstops business. Hopefully not too bad...I run 2-3 loads a day into there 5-6 days a week.
