I would personally stay away from any companies that have contracts with Walmart, or at least stay away from driving those contracts with them. One DC has a contract with Martin, and my WM trainer told me those drivers are ineligible for hire at Walmart because of the non-compete agreement which is part of the contract itself. So they're stuck doing Walmart work, without Walmart pay/benefits.

Since you already work at the DC, I would ask your GSM for clarification about that before proceeding.

Is there any way to keep your longevity while getting those 30 months in? Depending on how long you've worked for WM, that could suck to lose, just to come back on board in 30 months and have to start over last in line.

If they confirm this is the case, I would suggest you find a suitable starter company that doesn't have ties to Walmart, and get your 30 months that way. Where is home for you?
