New to hot shot

    I have a 1999 sc700 Freightliner like the fc70 with 20 foot bed truck has 80000 miles. Can I hot shot
    With the flatbed only or do I need to add fifth wheel or gooseneck? Working on mc & dot
    Non CDL truck have a CLP but CDL will come in 2 months that’s when I can get ground training and semi to take test. Any thoughts or information would be appreciated!

    You gotta have at least 40 feet to get out there in the water homes . Anything less than that is gonna limit your capacity too much

    Could you? Yes, a lot of hotshotters have 18 or 20 foot trailers but the extra 2 axles give them a considerably higher load capacity. Being under CDL you must have a pretty low load capacity. If you are going to pull a trailer you should have a truck with a much shorter wheelbase. You'd be much better off getting a more suitable truck.
