I’ve been a company driver for 17 years now I am an owner operator and I don’t know what to do about my IFTA. I do not want to use the company’s fuel card that I’m leased onto because I get much better perks from using my credit cards. I have Oklahoma plates and IFTA stickers but I only run in Texas. Would it be better for me to switch my plates to Texas combination or Texas Apportioned or pay the Oklahoma IFTA taxes?

If staying in Texas only you don't actually need an ifta account. Drive and buy all your miles and fuel in Texas therefore the taxes due will be exactly equal to the credits paid.

Are you staying leased to the carrier you're with? If you are a part of their fleet, it is easier for them to get you apportioned plates and be on the ifta account. The result is the same. Your plate will cost whatever the rate for a Texas plate is, since you only run in Texas. Ifta, same deal. Whether you use their fuel card or not is a moot point. They may complicate things if filing as one fleet as a whole....
