new to me 09 Prostar display issue

    I have grown accustomed to using my trip MPG, as well as running with the instant MPG showing on my dash display.
    All of a sudden the trip MPG stays at 0.0, although the instant MPG is working, as is all the other displays.

    Any suggestions to making this work again??

    I think we have seen this before. The trip mpg counter in the ecm needed to be reset as they can't go forever between resets.

    Try resetting your trip odometer in the display. I've never seen that problem, as I reset mine periodically. But the trip MPG number is calculated from the trip odometer.

    until it broke I reset it every trip thanks for the suggestion though

    how do you reset it in the ECM?

    You have to connect to it with Insite, (Cummins). Most decent shops will have this. I wouldn't take it in just for that. I would have that reset if you are taking it in for something else. That way they shouldn't charge you for that, or at least it will cost you a coffee or two.

    I have it in international the other day to clear a code and the tech tells me it is not possible to do that
    he was connected with the insight, any chance you could be more specific on how to do that Thanks

    You bring up the trip and hit reset, simple as that.
