If you are a lady, be very careful. Document your interactions, names, dates, times etc. So if it does become apparent there is a problem with your gender in that company there might be something for you to look into. Frankly as far as I am concerned a Lady trucker did the same things we did generally, with a few stories coming out of the more interesting problems long ago.

    Hang in there.

The company you work for is the problem, not OTR in general. I would live in a truck for $700 a week either. A team is gold to nearly every company and even a mega will pay you much more than you are getting now.

Abilene hires teams and they get the newest trucks because they run the most miles. I think the team rate here is 68 CPM to the truck, but you will be racking up serious miles.

That's a good choice; Abilene Motor Express.
What trucks are teams using now?

    Doesn't get easier.
You realize you have 2 choices.
Take the cash or a real life at home..can't have both.
I'm out here to bank some cash..then I'm going home..life on the road by yourself...blows.

Benny Whitehead Trucking in Eufaula,AL. Don't know much about the company, but they run lots of produce off the west coast and back to the Southeast. Ask if they do driver unload and if they do, I wouldn't take the job. It's doubtful any OTR reefer outfit has driver unload any more due to Elogs.
All the above will probably hire you to run teams and do long runs. Keep us posted; we'll help you find a decent company.

    .good attitude
.having a hard time living in the truck
    .having trouble backing
    .getting kicked off Walmart properties
    .HATE dispatch
    .dislike boyfriend
    .no physical activity
    .like the money
    .dont like the money
    .do more sitting than driving
.some weeks both of you won’t make $700 together
.not making a lot of miles with the snow and Pennsyltucky backroads.
.dispatch gets along fine with boyfriend
.possibility of dispatch not liking women drivers

Out of all of these things listed, which is the most important to you and which is the least important?

There are certain things that you can change, certain things you cannot. If you need help with Walmart’s, ask before you go shopping. If you can’t get along with dispatch, let him deal with them. If you’re doing more sitting than driving, why not get that physical activity knocked out while you wait?

You'll have a new job in a couple of days or a week at most.
Make sure you turn the truck in properly or they'll hit your DAC for load or truck abandonment and that's a job killer.
