Newest '18 trucks are Volvo 780s and Cascadias.

You know your dumb if something you said can be found on that Dumb & Dumber movie.

“You know according to the map we have only driven about 4 inches.”

Dispatchers have been saying that decades before there was a dumb and dumber movie.

I had one whip me with bad words because Connecticut is only 2 hours wide. What he did not know was there was a complete and total closure of 95 at the Q bridge that day which lasted three until the wrecks were cleared.

Im pretty stupid sometimes, but people have to be seriously dumb to create a movie product that does not support our striving for greatness... //sarcasm he he.

I will be calling them to get all the details. I am assuming I can drive down there Sunday evening. But will find out for sure.

I guess I should change to a day walker schedule now

And in Austin, depending on where you live, that commute to and from each day could add an extra 3 hours. We are used to sitting on I35 or Mopec... missing dinner, listening to Jeff Ward, not going anywhere.

I knew OTR driving wasn't for me after going out with my trainer about 12 years a go. The thought and lure of "being free" and "traveling the country" intrigued me until I realized just how miserable and lonely it really is. The only "sites" you see, are interstate welcome signs, and the insides of truck stops. I got out there with my trainer who was an obese smelly guy who took showers about once a week and pretty much did nothing to "train" me except sleep at night and piss in bottles while I drove, and returned the favor by blasting his music while I was trying to sleep. I knew I was going to just get the training over with, get my ####ty training pay, and find a local job back home.
I was recently looking for a new job, as my previous job went out of business. I can't believe the bombardment of OTR trucking ads and recruiters. Its to the point where its just annoying trying to sift through the OTR ads to find a local jobs. Anymore, it seems there are so many companys out there that want to screw their driver, and almost every ad says "Bonus pay! Home Weekly!" which Im sure 90% of the are total BS. I'm working somewhere where I could possibly make more if I went OTR, but its just not for me. Being away from family and friends that long, I know I'd hate it. I commend you guys and gals out there who do it, because its truly NOT an easy job. Physically or mentally.
