Thank you easy steamer you just made my day.. I am ready to do this been ready for a while now, just waiting on money... So in a few months I hope to be meeting some of you and hopefully I'll get one of you as a trainer as you guys really seem to know your jobs well. I want to learn the right way to do things the first time which is why I chose prime. Thanks again too all of you for a great thread... See you soon... Dan

So being from Oregon does prime have freight that runs out this way? I'd like to get home every 3-4 weeks if possible but I have only seen a few prime rigs on the highways out here. Also is there a drop yard this way or do drivers take the trucks home or how does that work? I'm just outside of Eugene but may be moving to bend before I start. Ultimately I will be moving to northern Texas but that will probably be a year out or so...thanks again for all the info I've got a small notebook almost filled with info for prime now...

You take the truck home with you. The trailer gets dropped where sales and our FM direct you to drop it.

    Dan G Thanks this.

That's weird, I should be going to Pennsylvania since it's the closest (have my CDL and an A seat, I will be taking my own truck after orientation) and they have me going to Springfield. I live in Michigan...hmm

Hey guys, I am planning on applying with Prime as a student and going through their CDL program, I just have a question about the application. On their website they say you need to provide them with 10 years of driving work history. Does this apply only to commercial driving or any kind of driving? I worked in a pizza place from 2001 to 2007, and after about a few years of working in the kitchen, I became a delivery driver for the restaurant, using my personal vehicles. My problem is that I don't remember exactly when I started driving, and it's been so long, the company doesn't even have a record of it either. I am just wondering if this will matter, since it was non-cdl driving.

10 years of CDL driving. If no commercial driving, 3 years of employment history. If in doubt, list it anyway; use your best guess as to the dates. Better to give them too much info rather than not enough.

Always good to double check with your recruiter.

    Chucktshoes and leviathanish Thank this.
