I have cricket and have had very good service since I upgraded to their new network. Supposedly it is on AT&T now but there have been moments like being in the backwoods of Maine or Vermont when I didn't have any service at all and my trainer had perfect coverage. I pay $50 a month for unlimited everything. 5gig LTE data and then throttled after that. You will use a lot of data esp with video chat.

My trainer likes Loves a lot so I have been getting their monthly plan for data. It is mostly decent but if you are at a large stop you may be sharing the data with a lot of other trucks so it may be slow. I'm not unhappy tho.

The same is true for PFJ. I've used their data plan for years and at busier truck stops, finding and keeping a signal can be quite challenging...and frustrating.

No company covers everywhere, but pretty much everywhere is covered by somebody...

From what I've seen and been told Verizon is the best for having 4G data and phone coverage.

Cricket is owned by AT&T, but it will only work on AT&T towers, there is no roaming. So there is a large swath of I-80 in Nebraska and Wyoming where there is no coverage. Also, Cricket throttles all data, they limit LTE to 8mbps and HSPA+ to 4mbps before you hit your cap.

Thank you silenteagle for sharing your insight into Prime's Training Program. I start this coming Oct 6th and am really looking forward to it!
One thing I have been trying to find by searching posts here, and on other sites, is pictures of the interior of the lighweight trucks versus the full trucks.
I've already decided I'd rather have the .05 cpm bump in pay with the lighweight ;-) but would still like to see a comparsion. Thanks again, Dave
