The recruiter told me that its now [a minimum of] 700 during your training, they recently upped that from 600.

You will be in orientation for one week, then once you get into the instructor's truck, you will be out on the road for typically 3-4 weeks before you come in to take your CDL skills test. Be prepared to not have a paycheck for a good 6 weeks. I'd plan on 8 weeks; delays happen.

As for your medical card, you will be getting a physical (and new card) at orientation. Unless your state requires you to have a physical card to get your permit, save your money.

Coming from the other side of the country actually, Arizona. It would be fun to meet up and say hey. Did you get your learners permit already from the SC DMV?

You can't pull loads that are those 119-gallon palletized liquid totes without a tanker endorsement. DOT will put you OOS on a level III if you happen to draw a load like that. You might want to add that when you renew your license next.

you mean I can't pull that heavy bulk liquid that don't pay for crap ? I'm heartbroken lol ... No if I was a company driver I would get my tanker and hazmat but as a lease op guy no thank you they can pull that crap with the lightweight company trucks . but just my opinion

Fine with me. You pull the heavy welfare juice loads, and that'll leave the really lucrative hi-val hazmat loads for me.

    $10 per mile anyone?

Nothing like limiting your options in a game that requires you to take advantage of every opportunity.
