I just talked to a recruiter to day still have my CDL but haven't driven since 2008 when I left my company due to a DOT reportable accident I know I screwed up and I know I will have to go out with a trainer if she can get me on.

Ok I have a question. Would it be dumb or a foolish idea to by a breifcase to keep all my papers together in and organized. Don't want to look like a fool in orientation. Does anyone have other ideas.

Sounds like a good questions to me. You will be carrying around important sensitive stuff...an identity theft nightmare

Too bulky, takes up too much space. Unless you like sleeping with one on the instructor/trainer's truck, leave it at home.

a decent writing pad with a maybe a cover and paper pocket will do.

Considering how my wallet likes to jump out of my pocket, one of the large one's with a chain has kept my stuff from being left at various rest stop bathrooms in the middle of the night, when I'm not exactly on top of things. You know what a disaster loosing your ID, credit/debit cards on the road can be?
