True that. It makes sense. I've heard of the trainers who won't take home time because they don't really have much of a home to go to since they are living out on the road. I know scores of guys that will spend 2-3 months out at their own free will. Thanks for the heads up on the medical card situation. My VA doctor offered to look into it for me, but I wanted to see if it was even worth it. I just came out of the military so I'm still in that "don't stop the job until it is completely done" mentality, hence the getting hooked up with somebody who doesn't take home time much. If you get a trainer who lives in CA, and I live in GA, what happens if they do take hometime? Do you get put up somewhere or stay in the truck?

I read on another post in another thread that Prime will DQ you at orientation for basically being fat? (failing body mass test?)
Any truth to this? and what is involved with it? I swear I have seen some overweight drivers for Prime before. -

Wickedfire77 Thanks this.

This myth that everyone fails is BS. Ive had a couple students and trainees who have passed the test.Wickedfire77 Thanks this. -
So they do the Sleep apnea test on site? you are you sent home to come back another day?
-
From what I've heard, the sleep studies are done at the Campus Inn.
Wickedfire77 Thanks this. -
There is no upper limit for weight; if there was, I would be above it, and I saw drivers larger than me at the Campus Inn. As long as you can physically do the work, you're OK.

One of the rumors floating around is that if you already have a class A CDL and are accepted as a Prime PSD, you will have to surrender that CDL.
That is NOT true.
You will, however, have to take the same tests with the same examiners to the same standards as the students with permits to graduate to the TNT program. The only thing that is different for you is that you will not have to pay the DOT the licensing fee.
