Next week... yes. If you want to carry on further conversations, lets do it on another thread. This one is docked at the top of the forum so we can get the answers out to the most common questions posed by folks looking into starting up with Prime. ####-chat like this tends to push the informative posts into background noise. Thanks for understanding.

Thanks for all the helpful information. I have been thinking about going with Prime and spoke with a recruiter the other day. I have just recently gotten my Arkansas Class A CDL permit. I noticed that one post stated that the trainer would possibly go by your home state, so that you could take the driving test with out having to get the MO CDL and then having to transfer it back to your home state. Could someone please clarify this for me.

Illinois & Massachusetts, if you make plans with the instructor. All other states, you test in Springfield.

Im too far, and heading out west with 3 appointments to be any help any time soon. It would be quite a wait for you if I read correctly you are in Atlanta.

Advice: impress the hell out of your new instructor and you maybe one or two trips from testing out.

Hypothetically an instructor could pick you up and you get the hours needed between your house and SPRIMO. However, if I was assigned, I wouldn't want to commit to testing right away given just the time to pick you up and get you there. I suspect most instructors might feel this way.

if you impressed me on the get go, I'd have them route us within the week for testing. A great first pre trip test would go along way, so "bone up" with your down time. The rest would come from evaluating your driving performance.

Thats just me and my advice. Good Luck!

remember 75 hours is required to test, it's not a trigger. They don't have to test you until your instructor thinks you are ready. Quoted average is at 125... So with 75 being the minnimum you can figure the maximum is 175. Just saying that you 7 hours left is not the end all be all number before your test.
