Stop spending your companies future unless you want to face bankruptcy when your new truck breaks down and it cost 4000 dollars which you have to borrow from the boss because you spend last weeks pay on that high-teck red-nick #### you really don't need.

You need a phone! learn how to eat cheap and save every penny you make because your running a business, not on a Vacation in a New RV. in two years you can buy and pay cash for a used truck and quite Prime, Inc.

You only need to report a post one time. Three times within a matter of minutes is overkill. Thanks.

Remove the items that pertain strictly to student drivers, and you have an idea of what goes on. There's the background paperwork, physical, drug testing - jump through those hoops, and the usual series of classes that you get when starting a new job. They split you out from the student drivers, company drivers and owner/ops as necessary to cover specific items - make sure you follow your itinerary, and comments regarding being on time (that's 5 minutes early) apply to you as well. You'll be looking at trucks by Thursday, and then its getting repairs and onto the APU shop appointment list done. You should be on the road by the weekend, or first of the week depending on how shop time is.

TnT phase and miles: While you are in TnT you will be required to do a minimum of 30,000 miles with a trainer. If you have an incident while on the road, such as a moving violation or wreck, you will probably be required to do additional miles. (usually up to 60,000) Plan on being out with a trainer a minimum of 8 weeks. This depends on the time of year and how well your FM (yes, he is your FM now too) keeps you in the frieght lanes. It will also depend on how you and your trainer take hometime. If you average 4000 miles a week you should be able to finish in 10 weeks. (8 weeks driving and probably two weeks blown by taking hometime)

This is not completely a bad thing, and you can use TnT training to get through the slow periods by staying with your trainer a bit longer. Getting that guaranteed check is nice, and if you upgrade in the middle of a slow month you might be upset with the pay dropping down drastically. Your TnT trainer will most likely be happy you are staying on his truck, as would be the FM. Team trucks make them both alot more $$$ than a solo truck. It's a win-win-win for everyone.

If the training is becoming a bad situation, such as personality conflict, mistreatment from the trainer, or nasty living conditions on the truck, call your FM. Prime training division encourages trainees to contact the FM weekly and good trainers will enforce a weekly call to the FM. If your trainer is keeping you from contacting the FM or Stan Kasterki from the training division, he is probably not looking out for your best interests. (gather proof if you can if you are in a bad situation.)

On average, when does freight pick back up in the Reefer division at Prime, along with economy in general? Is it from after Thanksgiving into early Spring usually, say March?

I was wondering what to expect with regards to driving miles pulling a refer vs say a flatbed. It seems refers spend a little more time at pick and drop locations thus limiting the amount of miles. I have just been approved by Prime and just have to set a date to start. They had me down for the 8th of Jan but I have requested a later date as my daughter is home from college until the 7th and I wanted to get a few things done before I take off. Probably more information then I needed to put in this post. I am sure to have many questions but it seems alot of them are covered in the posts. Thanks in advance
