Here is an idea for you. Go to the main forum here, start a new thread and ask the question "which companies do hair follicle tests?"
You get a pretty good idea what the pulse of the industry is, and the overall general feeling of most people here on TTR. Its not just a Prime thing. Your barking at the majority. Don't believe me, try it. -
Competitive swimmers? I had to laugh
ironpony Thanks this. -
Lol,yeah i know but is not a big deal,to ask what type of drug test prime have, anyway they have random test.

The taint of having dopers driving for your carrier is huge, and despite what that other poster posted if you leave a hot sample, you're done. After that, anyone that would hire you is providing you with the most least desirable job in the industry. And you (and everyone else) should be concerned. The CSA impaired driving basic for Prime has been slowly rising. When it gets to intervention level, you can be assured that DOT will intervene. Mostly behind the scalehouse. Care to provide a sample every few hundred miles? Nothing like having a level 1 served up with that sample too.Last edited by a moderator: Sep 22, 2013

Never said they don't ask because they are guilty, as I am as sure as you that many are, but the last several pages of this thread is all the proof you should need that being judgemental does nothing but cause a thread to be hijacked. And BTW, competitive swimmers do shave their bodies and yes they can become truck drivers. How many of you played football or baseball in school or college? Swimmers are no different and generally in as good or better shape health wise. Don't believe me then all I can say is google is your friend, check it out for yourself. The school I went to had swimming competitions and yup, you guessed it, many of the guys shaved their bodies just like the olympic swimmers for that few tenths of a second edge. And at least one of those swimmers has been a truck driver for 22 years, an O/O for 15 of those years and a multi truck company owner for 8 of those years. It can and does happen. Personally I am done with this subject on this thread other than to comment on Chuck Taylor's response which would be that yes I know exactly how hard headed and judgemental truck drivers can be, I have lived around them most of my life. Those types are a good lot of the reason we have mega companies herding sheep through driver mills now.

There is no room for drug use in driving a 80,000-pound vehicle down the highway, and the mad mothers who hate truck drivers are proof enough of that. The idea that you can blow one away on the weekend and get away with it is pure BS. It affects us all, because the few who do, not to mention the alcoholics who pound down a 12-pack at the truckstop overnight get caught... eventually, and it pushes up the CSA numbers. Perhaps there are a few competitive swimmers driving trucks... I'll be you can count them on one hand, and it doesn't take all that long to grow a little body hair, enough for a test. Again, don't commit the sin of naivety; the vast majority of people interested in the form of a drug test aren't competitive swimmers or just curious. They have a reason. That isn't "hard-headedness," its human nature.
BTW... this isn't a "mega," and no one "herds sheep" through a mill here. Half of the next PSD group will be gone before they ever see a truck, and if a quarter of their group gets a CDL, I'd be surprised.Charlami Thanks this. -
Lol ok guys this is my first winter,i keep asking my self how do i know went to stop and park the truck,i really need help guys,i dont want to be a hero.
