I will say that in my opinion, TNT sucks. It may be me, or my trainer, but it seems that nothing I've done has been right. I'm right on the edge of quitting, so to avoid that, I requested a new trainer. That may have made things worse. I don't want to get into specifics here, but does anyone have any advice to help until I can get off this truck?
I know some will accuse me of being a whiner, but I made it through the PSD phase without any problems like this.

My first driving job I had a similar problem, and led to other problems, My trainer was one of the nicest guys on the road but he had a thick Jamaican accent, really hard to understand, I left it alone until I quit, wasnt a good company but looking back I really wish I had just talked to my trainer and trainer coordinator and gotten it all squared away, would have been much better off. so just try to have a civil conversation with both of them and get it figured out

You might benefit by creating a new thread and share your experience and observations. You might not like all of the feedback you get, but that feedback ma be valuable learning material.

I applied to Prime inc several weeks ago and am scheduled to start the Orientation on the 8th of Oct. I have been driving still for my present employer but the time has went by very fast. The butterflies are starting.

Just got back from the Catskills this morning and decided I should do a little more reading on prime inc. I ran across this thread and it has been so enlightening.
It has answer several of my questions but I have a few it didn't.

I read about the bmi ... but it was a gentleman asking about it. Is there a different bmi limit for the sleep apnea for prime in woman then men.
If so what is it. My bmi is 29.5.

I already have a TSA badge. Will I have to get a different one for prime and should I bring my present one with me to orientation?
Of course I have my Dot Medical card but should I also bring my present one with?

Plus I have a misdemeanor charge that happened 15 yrs ago but that was dismissed that I didn't list. I wasn't trying to hide it .... just hadn't listed it because it was dismissed. Now I'm nervous about that and wonder if I should call my recruiter on Monday and let him know. Or just wait and list it on the paperwork I will be doing when I get there? I don't want to mess this up or have them think I am trying to get anything by them. Let alone be dropped off at the bus depot. I listed a charge over 30 yrs old that I was prosecuted for so I hope they realize it was a lapse of judgement.

Being a older woman I am sure I will be under a tad more scrutiny ... which I'm not afraid of .. just want to keep everything up and up.

Your help and answers will be greatly appreciated,

Sorry forgot one thing .. my ss card is laminated. Is that really going to be an issue .. just read on here someone said it couldn't be. Don't think I can get a different one in a little over a week.
Never even thought to ask anything like that from my recruiter.
    Dang I sure hope not.

I'd think you'd be fine from that standpoint. The diagnosis for sleep apnea is from a number of things though, including BMI... there's a questionnaire, neck size, throat obstructions. It's not a deal killer to have sleep apnea here... just adds another thing that you may or may not have to do while at the terminal. It is a problem only if you were previously diagnosed with sleep apnea, and have not been treated for it.

I'd bring them both. You'll still have to get a physical, but the TWIC card is good until its expiration date. You'll need that.

It probably won't matter, but it will be better for your peace of mind if you call your recruiter. It's always best if they know about it up front before orientation. Keep in mind that you will have to complete the application again in pen and ink once you get there, so make sure you have anything you'll need with you to do that- names, dates, addresses, phone numbers and the like. Part of orientation is comparing the online app with what you write down from memory.

I'm not sure why you think that... basically, the labor laws require that everyone gets the same treatment. I have no way to really "know" the way it will work out for a woman, but I suspect you'll be treated the same way as the men. You may want to start your own thread on how orientation and training go for you so that other folks will know how this works as well.

    Good luck!

Mine was laminated and I didn't have a problem. When I came back home though to switch my Missouri License back to my Ohio one, I did have to get a paper one though cause the DMV wouldn't take it. Might be worth putting the paperwork in before you leave.
