New to side dump, need advice, in and outs.

    Hey guys. The company I'm working for bought 2 new side dumps that I'll be running a lot. I've never ran one so I'm looking for advice. We're in the bakken oilfield. Any advice you have is appreciated. I know to turn towards the side you're dumping on. My trailer has a drop axle. Do you load with the drop axle down? Same question for the drop axle on my tractor. Thanks everyone.

    Side dumps follow same dump rules as a rear dump, be level to dump,as far as the drop axle on trailer , the only ones i've used came down after a certain weight or you cranked them down. As far as the tractor, i believe it's the same but not sure. Also side dumps don't stack as rear dumps do, ( ie- when delivering sand gravel etc) more like a pile for a loader to spread
