Run it. I pull smothbores and single compartments. I'm always 35k on my drives. Never had a problem.
Still undecided Thanks this. -
This is clearly a great thread--but the REAL takeaway here that I just couldn't help but notice (from the above post):
"Stick with tankers, reefers suck."

Run it!! Like every one else said no biggy. If you are pulling the same tank most of the time fifth wheel plates on tankers can be unbolted and moved back. That being said some are already in the most rear position. You are making to much out of nothing and weight tickets do Not go on your record and you got a text from the company telling you to run it that they accepted liability.
Still undecided Thanks this. -
Just dump your airbags on the scale lol
-
some trailers have airbags that dump when you set the brakes.
if yours is one, just set the tractor.
I never set both on a scale. -
I run smooth bores, some rear unload and some center dump.As long as I'm not over gross, I don't worry about the axle weights. Only state that ever made me sit until the load settled completely down was Virginia. And I don't go east of the Big Muddy anymore.
ncdriver1 Thanks this.
