I think we got another tanker club member lol congratulations.
patdaddy85, G13Tomcat and BACON XXL Thank this. -
Ok, real quick update. We ran the load to Louisville yesterday. Took 5 hrs to unload (1hr) to actually do it (4) to get someone to do it. Anyway, we shagged tail back to the yard and pre tripped and spotted another trailer in to a customer north of Cincy. I drove all day, and I just tried to copy everything my trainer did as far as driving. He told me that I would have no problem getting up and going with things.
This morning we have plans of meeting at 0430 and picking up a loaded trailer going to E Town KY. Air unload. Looking forward to it!G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Load to E Town went well. We aired it off. That went well. Quick Taco from the Bell and back to Cincy to preload a Mt. Sterling for this morning. It is a pump off.
The truck I am driving is a long wheelbase day cab Lone star, Which I think is a pretty cool truck. I will check in later!G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Whatcha haulin friend?
I really really like and recommend using the internets to look up your chemical...for yourself!! Usually you'll learn more than you were trained and be better than the trainer afterwards...
Im in deep study for a hazmat emergency job..so much crazy stuff out there with a crazy varience of handling properties...
I asked a few of the acid drivers at my company, "whats that stuff for?" and they said "I dunno"..I had to lookit up..turns out sulfuric acid is mostly just used for paper products!! LOL..It breaks down the pulp
Thats about itpatdaddy85, BACON XXL and G13Tomcat Thank this. -
There's an app. For your smart phone.
Dot placards.
Just put in your placard number and you'll get all the info on the product your hauling.
It's basically the same as your emergency response guidebookMidWest_MacDaddy, patdaddy85, BACON XXL and 1 other person Thank this. -
We did our run to Mt. Sterling. Nice clean easy pump off. Nothing I was not used to hauling fuel. Only real difference was couldn't just pop the vr cap to vent trailer. I think at this point, we will train Monday and Tuesday and then head up to company hq for orientation.
My trainer said the only real thing I need to work on was the order of things I do when dropping trailers just to make sure I do not miss things on post trips.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
