Just an update for the week. I've been kinda busy so I haven't checked in. I was supposed to go to Toledo for orientation this week, but plans changed. I stayed with my trainer and we have been running around Cincy all week. I got quite a few loads of Methanol and 3 unloads all air offs. (NOT THE METHANOL). We are going to preload a load in the morning 0400 on the west side of cincy then drop in the yard and hook a loaded for Louisville 0930 in the morning so we will have to boogie.

So the plan right now is to be off Friday and Saturday and then Sunday Night take a tractor to Toledo. I think it will be my assigned tractor. The shop will go through it and clean it up good as it had a driver in it that left it a mess when he was released. I will be In Toledo all week next week for orientation and training with a Toledo driver.

I will let ya know how things go!

I know of a good company (not that mine isn't) that you can run m-f food grade tanks. You would only have to get tanker that way. They have a terminal in Dayton but park trucks in Fairfield at a sister company yard

I would be totally interested in that. I'm open for just about anything. Fairfield is only like 35mins away. I live in Delhi area. So like legit cincinnati... I'm not stuck on anyone specific thing. I'm just looking for anything that fits my needs properly

I personally believe you are on the right track with tankers. An old man told me when I was looking into it 11 years ago (gasoline) "There is only one way to unload a tanker, through a hose! You don't tarp em either" . It seemed like solid advice.

Thursday was a good day. We loaded a load in Cincy and then hooked one in Cincy and went to Louisville. We were unloading right next to the truck show. We got headed back North and dispatch called and asked if we could get a couple trailers up to Monroe OH for them to load. The only way we could was for each of us to take one up, so I got in a truck of my own.

Sunday I will leave for orientation and finally get to meet the folks that hired me! lol.

Well it has been a piece since I checked in. This is my first week on my own. So I left Cincinnati Sunday afternoon. Got to Elkhart IN for 0800 Monday morning. Delivered and headed back to Cincinnati. Picked up a loaded try and headed to Lake Station IN for a morning delivery in Chicago tues morn. Made delivery spot on time and sat for 5.5 hrs. Left there and dropped my trl at tank wash in summit. Grabbed an empty and loaded up the street a load to dropin Cincinnati yard. Made it back to Remmington IN. Took my break and headed to truck wash and got my unit cleaned up. Made it to Cincinnati yard dropped trailer and went home for the evening. Got back to yard pre tripped and headed to Louisville for 0900 this morning. I've been sitting waiting to be unloaded since 0840.

So far it has been ok. Finding it hard to sleep in the truck. But I guess it will get easier. Idk

It will get easier, and then you'll find it hard to sleep outside of the truck lol

After I delivered Louisville, dispatch called and had a Raven VA out of Cincy. Coal mine delivery... So much for the clean truck.. lol. I drove my clock out and parked for my break and woke up and finished driving in. Made delivery and started back to the house. And wouldn't you know , an hour and a half short on drive time. So I'm camped out for my break at in Catlettsburg ky.
