New to the forum, not new to trucking

Good afternoon everyone. I just found the forum last night when I was doing some job searches.

About me- I've been driving for 3 years, even though there's a 4 year gap between my first 2 1/2 and the past 6 months. I drove my first year for Roehl (yuck), then signed on with Harry Owen Trucking for a year-and-half after that. I wish like heck they hadn't sold out to Summit, or I'd be back there in a heartbeat. I had to get out of the truck in 04 for personal/family reasons and take a job in a factory. Long story short, situations changed and I got back in a truck last July, driving for a small fleet leased on to FedEx SCS.

I had a great job- dedicated daily run from my home in Glasgow, KY to Muncie, IN- drop and hook on both ends and home every night with 2500 paid miles/week. Had a nice ungoverned Freightliner FLD that he kept maintenanced every 12k, very few issues. I got a call from the boss man last Monday night to let me know I no longer had a job (the economy, not anything I did). He told me he'd made some bids on some other runs, but it wasn't looking good for him to get any of them.

So, I'm back in the job hunt, hoping to find something decent. I'm not worried about not qualifying for any company. I'm 30 years old, 3 years exp., nearly 400k accident free miles, immaculate MVR....just a little worried about finding a good company that's actually hiring, lol.
