You need to slow down a little bit there turbo. There's 30 different places to start your career of which all of them have a turnover rate near 100%. Many of these "starter" companies will put you through school weather it be an independent school or one of their own that doesn't really matter the "training" you will receive isn't worth the money they're going to charge you...Well the company if you spend somewhere around 6 months with them might be more than that I don't remember.
Google is your friend none of the places you will start are going to be any better or worse than the other. Take a look at youtube for every driver that hates a company some moron loves them for some reason or another. That's just a truck drivers thing. You can put 2 truck drivers in a room and give them a subject they'll all but kill each other fighting over who is right and who is wrong because they'll never agree on anything.
I lived down in south carolina for a short while over in the chesnee gaffney area not sure where that's at in relation to yourself but there are pletny of starter companies that hired out of that area. Hell I can pull up craigslist and probably find 30 adds looking for new drivers no experience required.
We all seem to think it's going to be a wonerful life with lots of money and freedom it's like moving out of your parents house and hitting the real world. It sucks when you realize bills add up and there's never enough money to go around. Apples to Oranges yes, but same concept.
I've been out here a fair amount of time and have a long way to go. Pulled everything from Cattle to a box been around the block a time or 2. That being said pulling a van was no better than being hooked to a cow wagon, pulling a cow wagon was no better than dragging around my hopper. It's all the same when you look at it just some parts of the industry have different aspects but none of it is gravy. -
