Welcome to truckin' rookie. Lesson no. 1... you don't own the road.

Do you read what I post or just have a knee jerk reaction to a few words? I just said you have every right to run your truck as you see fit. If someone's having a bad day, it's definitely you.

We're still not a mega-carrier. Less than half the size of the megas.

Hey guys thanks for the advice, I think I am gonna go ahead and take advantage of Prime. Talked to a recruiter again and set up orientation on the Tuesday after labor day, which works out since I live local, I wont have to stay at their hotel or ride a greyhound. Pretty much it boiled down to me wanting to get my CDL and them offering the training program which would be free after a year. Who knows, maybe I will love them and work for them longer than a year. Never gonna find out being nervous or worried about it.

We think its a pretty good program. That being said, it doesn't work for everyone.

Wow! Ironpony ease up on the Kool-Aid drinkin over there at Prime!

Sorry my post went over head (well above). The point of the post was to give the reader a quick generalization of what a typical large company is like. PRIME IS A LARGE COMPANY.... THEY ARE A TYPICAL NEWBIE TRAINING COMPANY.... NUFF SAID....

That my friend is fair. No disagreement with any of that. It's when one singles out a specific carrier making inaccurate generalizations that gets my ire up. Those inaccuracies get passed along, and are often reposted as truth on this site.

Koolaide? You can deposit that remark where it belongs... in the rubbish.

You probably need to stay a company employee then.

Better to stay in the hotel. No excuses for being late to any class. Good luck to ya.
