new to the volvo experience. vcb issue

I am throwing a vcb compression code. on a 07 volvo vnl d12 I know what the issue is I just want to know if this will effect the operation of the vehicle or can it wait till my next overhead in about 10000 miles

I am getting fmi 128 ppid122 fmi 5 also getting a fmi 144 psid 1 fmi 7 I have a switch for a exhaust break is this connected to this system or is it separate. sometimes when in cruse control and I start heading down a hill I hear a grinding noise but only when the exhaust break switch is off
