Don't buy your truck from Peachtree truck in Georgia with no service records or warranty.

In chicago most noncdl drivers top out at 15 to 16 an hour. We have non.cdl drivers where I work, they make $12 an hour. When I was looking for work a company offered me $10, I declined. I would think orlando would be similar. If you want to drive, get a cdl

You wont be your own boss, almost all van owners contract with a transport or hotshot company, still have rules to follow, and a dispatcher to listen to

I am seriously considering getting the CDL. I figure if I start with a cargo van its cheaper, no restricted rules and regulations like you big rig drivers face each day. As I learn more about the business I will upgrade so to speak. Right now I am just trying to gather as much info (kinda remind me of when I started retail management 15 years ago, I had no background experience in that field but yet I was able to do well) I am wanting to leave due to a significant paycut (restructuring), and having to battle other co-workers for weekends and holidays off). just getting sick of it and I want to live my dream of being my own boss.

Sounds like courier work or light delivery like med equipment

talk to a temp hire see if they will hook you up with a part time or med supply store

see I learn something here. I always figure picking up the load and taking it from point A to point b,c,d,e etc is all there is to it :)

Nope, if your not signed on with a company, you will have a vary hard time finding loads to keep you busy. Most people shipping something want a company, not a random guy with a van

Im not trying to discourage you, I just recommend you learn the business working for someone else for a while, why risk going bankrupt to learn.
Also even without a cdl you still have rules and regulations to operate a vehicle for comnercial use. A cargo van has less regulations then a semi, but you still have federal rules to follow
