I like locally owned credit unions. They treat you much better than big banks generally. Wells Fargo is as bad as they get.

Some of the best banking I have ever witnessed was with Navy Federal. We also rely on credit unions as well. But we are not in trucking due to disability permanently and rely on a particularly strong bank of a local variety here in Arkansas.

Years ago I followed FDIC (Ordinary USA Banks) and NFCU (Credit Unions) since the destruction of the Savings and Loan System roughly the late 70's which was itself a third type of banking. (This is reaching way back, I was just a boy but we were affected) and found that Credit Unions with sufficient beef will weather the storm nicely.

I did not want to unring the bell on Wells Fargo, but it's there self evident that they are not a bank to do business with. I hope that someday they will clean up their act and settle down. In the mean time I'll do business with other banks.

Here in Arkansas we were with Regions for a while, they were one of the original 13 charter banks to the Federal Reserve system and during the 2007 downturn they had difficulty procuring a relatively small (Tiny...) 600 dollars cash withdrawal on a thursday afternoon. It's tough to watch 4 cashiers and two managers along with branch boss call to Little Rock for a armored truck to bring cash and tell us to return tomorrow by appt to get our 600. SHEESH.

We changed banks to credit unions the following day.

Im sorry I cannot offer do this, do that don't over there etc and only tell stories from my own experience but banking is something that has become grotesque to us now since 9-11. It's unfortunate. We only use a bare minimum of banking services. All else cash.

    Something doesn't add up here.

    He is leasing a truck.

    Right?

He is getting his work through a dispatching service.

    Right?

So how does he do this without an authority now?

And why would he need you involved if he was doing this before?

Way too much for a dispatcher (one is not necessary). But more to the point, like the others have said, 2 owners going in on a box truck, let alone semi is a recipe for disaster. Don't get played..
