I'd go with Averitt just starting out. Sounds like they won't run you to death. Good home time. They have plenty of terminals, probably close to 100% drop & hook. Money wasn't a big issue for me when I first got into trucking. Probably isn't a big issue for anyone considering the starting wage everyone starts out with. Seems everyone has goals of someday making a grand a week. This is not 1980 anymore. Many companies pay a lot more than that and it doesn't mean being away from home more than 8 hours a day and working weekends.

Just an option since you're in Tennessee..you can get your CDL training through R.E. West. They hold 2 weeks pay back, but give you a bonus during those 2 weeks. Then they send you out with a trainer for 3 weeks. You can go to Averitt after that, because R.E. West is on their list of qualified CDL schools.

You might figure out that you like them and don't want to go to Averitt though :) They have great equipment, great home time, good miles. They only start you at .32 cpm but you get raises and there is no top out pay. Just sayin..
