I got an attorney just to lower it to something else other than careless driving nit to dismiss it just so I can save my career

Oh.....you're career ain't dead by a longshot. It isn't like you've rolled a truck or jack knifed. How long you been driving?

3 month over 30000 miles under my belt the company said things happen when you're in tight spots like this safety said same thing cause this location is notorious for this kind of accident locals told me every month something happens here because it's tight for 53' trailer. But honestly I dread this job now after what happened

Well.....if the company is willing to keep you dont worry about it. Just keep gaining your experience. I tore up stuff as a rookie. It happens. I just had to learn to keep my head in the game, and do one movement at a time..you'll be fine.

Yup......but don't forget Left turns, going forward, going backwards, going under things and going over things. Remember......that truck has SIX sides. You need to be aware of all of them.

You seem to be the type who will probably learn from this mistake. We all have made them. It was your fault, no matter how many cars were parked in the way.. Hiring an attorney ? Never hurts, but will not make it go away. If your company is not too upset, just mark this up to a learning experience, and get back to trucking.

    1) are you still employed with that company?

    2) seems like you did not try a "button hook" right turn

    3) cars parked on both sides, do you think you could have just gone straight, find an area to turn around and come back, and make a left turn instead? so you could see things rather than be blind-sided?

    4) if you do get fired, fess up with any new employer, what happened. it is an accident, the cops showed up, and handed you a city invitation to donate to the fund.

    5) you'll be able to find work, but in the future, "size up" any tight turns and maybe find a away to turn around and approach the turn differently.

    6) learn how to do a "button hook" right turn.

Since your company didn't fire you, stick with it.
