How am I being forgiving in any manner whatsoever? Did I say anything even remotely suggesting he should receive a lighter penalty or suspension? No, I did not. Let me put it a little more succinctly ... the only ones in a position to judge him wear black robes and preside in a court of law and the other walks on water.

DUI = Butt kicking of a lifetime that they would never forget.
:biggrin_25526: Hope they would remember to come visit during your stay in JAIL.

To the OP your options are very limited after you get your license back and for your own vehicles as well not just the trucking side , the INSURANCE companies are the ones now setting the RULES and a DUI is not a good thing in their books.

I'm not afraid of jail. If I have to go to jail because I raised my kids properly then so be it. People suck now because they never got any discipline growing up. Case in point: Those of you who think a DUI is a 'mistake'. It's not a dang mistake. It's a choice. A bad choice based on very poor judgement is NOT a mistake.

Alcohol and driving are not good things to mix....Maybe, just maybe if truck stops didn't sell it drivers couldn't buy it like TRKERSHONEY witnessed happening. When a truck stop sells alcohol to a driver who then goes right out the door and pours it into a cup to hide it then becomes illegal for him to move that truck...why would you want that to happen?
