Ok Bill, here is my advise......to get the truck home you need a gps devise first! The GPS will tell the truck where to go and what to do, all you need to do is sit at home with a joy stick in your hand to control it.

The CDL is a acronym for Central Dispatching Licence! You only need this if you are gonna haul government freight!

You don't need much money to run the truck so .50 cents per mile should work, after all, it runs on batteries right?

Just one word of caution......Just remember that the radio connection to your joy stick controller only reaches so far!

I wonder if some of the people who ask those questions ever make a go of it?

No no no they dont ALL run on batteries ive seen ones that ran on plutonium, and even one that ran on hopes and dreams so he dont need no. 50/mile im thinking more like. 02 or. 03.

And speaking of that central dispatching licence good old obama is revoking mine. Guess its frowned upon hauling a load of aliens from area 51 and bringing them to a school to show the kids that they really do exist.

    The funny thing about this.
When I first got up this morning, I saw the heading and started reading it. Not fully awake and no coffee at the time.
I'm like what the  Then I read who posted it...:smt081

i wonder too, jumbo. i know many dream of owning their own truck/business, cant fault em for that. but i wonder how many would think of opening a convience store or other business when they knew nothing at all about it.

i think it may be rooted in the fact that many think you sit on your behind and just drive all day, heck i drive my car everywhere how hard could it be? they think.

Driving the truck is the easy part of being an O/O. Any clown can drive a truck(im proof of that). The logistics involved is where the true O/O's succeed. The ones that stay on top of the paperwork and hussle up the "good" loads. Not only thinking about load they are under, is also thinking, planning the next load(s) he will be pulling. He/she is the dispatcher, the driver, the book keeper, the mechanic etc etc....
