Holland is another one I remember seeing on the Oasis overpasses.
That beverage might not work out too bad for you with your specific needs and wants.

I’m in NC and doing school here with the Army.

Is it worth going to get my Hazmat here and paying for it then transferring it?

Like if I get the background here will it transfer over?

    WesternPlains Thanks this.

Some food service companies will give you a chance on local. But a friend of mine did it to get off the road and started regretting it after 8 months. He said going up and down that ramp got the best of his back and knees.

All I can say is keep trying. I started out OTR and absolutely hated it. There is no way a person can maintain a homestead if they are never there. It was the same thing in the military. If your gone on deployment. Jody was having some enjoyment at your expense!!!

    Yes sir.

You know anything about Holland? I know nothing about Hazmat tankers and they are offering to pay me $18 an hour to get trained for 8 weeks then give me a job paying $21 until 2 years then it’s $24.

Seems like a good gig. But there always is a catch it seems.

But getting that training and hazmat time sounds great for my resume.

If your going to end up in the north end of indianapolis when you come back from NC there should be tons of prospects. I haven't ran out that way for awhile but your best bet is to find a LTL company with a dock to driver program as others are suggesting.

Forget class B. I had one years ago and never went to far with it.

UPS, and UPS freight have ads up for the indy area. Problem is you have no experience. Go get some and come join the fun. Your young enough to make a good career of it if you plan it right.

At 22...think hard about what you'd like too do with your youth, is my opinion.
For some security matters most, for others adventure matters most...which are you?
