I'd take the higher paying job while looking for something else less physical.
I just started with USPS a few weeks ago as a Class B driver MVO job (only local driving) - PTF (part-time flexible). It's not a physical job so likely won't exacerbate any medical issues if you passed the DOT physical. They gave me credit for my military time. Starting pay is $21.89 but the new contract, being negotiated now, may raise that. At 22 you have time to make a career with USPS. I've met people on the job for 40+ years.

But that won't tell you if that contractor is good.
My local FedEx contractor just doesn't pay what I'm confident they should. I found them on craigslist. Dedicated runs. Not far. Red agreed this one doesn't pay what he should.
RedViking Trucker (from youtube) has a website. I'm sure the company he worked for is on there. A contractor out of the Carolina's somewhere. Good contractor. Red's partner in team driving on that lived in Idaho. Team for six figure income. He introduced a solo runner with same contractor. Don't have to do team. Yes we're talking FedEx contractor. The way Red talked about that contractor. He may even come up with something dedicated to Indy? If that's what you want. Runs all over the country. Different ways of running too.
EDIT: I just checked... You're not the OP. The Indy reference. Thought you were the OP. Doh!Last edited: Jul 8, 2019

I have seen a couple video's of " Red Viking Trucker " They were pretty good and some good info.
Is he here on this site ?
Maybe I can ask a question on his YouTube channel.
I wonder if contractor companies will hire new CDL grads ????????? -
I don't know requirements of contractors.
Like I said. Go to his site and see. -
A lot were 3 months exp. but hard to get that 3 months exp.
They had a job pulling doubles from Indy to to Illinois and back then down to Kentucky and back 530 miles per day 5 days a week. That would work
