New Trucker needing help finding a new company

    The incident happened 1/16/2024, about two weeks ago. All companies I’ve tried and applied for are saying I need 6 months to a year of safe driving, but I can’t find a company that will take me due to the incident, and my short time driving.

    I’m looking for something myself, just did a year OTR and now I feel as if I have no life, I have no car and no place and only have about 10k saved. I wanted something dedicated coming out of north Florida, but nothing further than ocala, but this doesn’t seem like it’s going to work in my favor.

    I have less experience than you but your year is a little bit better than my 7 months. Try calling GP transport, I think that’s the name. Ask for Johnny. He was going to take me but I don’t have enough experience.

    There is one in Alachua, been there a few times, but I don’t know who is over that account. I know my company said all of their dedicated accounts are filled and they just lost a contract with another account I was hoping to get on.

    I’ve tried ALL those jobs and they all told me the same thing. My accident needs to be older than 6 months to a year and I need safe driving for the same time period. I really feel like I screwed my career, all because I slid on black ice and crashed.
