New Trucker that just had accident in CMV

I have noticed quite a few new drivers seem to assume they will have accidents and collect tickets. Maybe that's just minimizing whatever trouble they are in. Accidents & tickets aren't the end of the world but they are a pretty big deal. They can sure make the difference between a pretty easy life with lots of options and a pretty stressful life with few options. OTR is hard enough without getting stuck with low pay, bad trucks, and no time at home.

    How much is “substantially”?

    From .25 / mile to .28 / mile. :)
(And no I don't know, just being a smart aleck.)

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.

Well, maybe I’m just spoiled from a job that actually pays well, but my idea of “substantial” would be to double that.

    G13Tomcat and ZVar Thank this.

I noticed the same thing. And I've been pointing out all along that an at fault accident with property damage is a huge deal, and I don't care what anyone says best believe it is on his record and will definitely make things difficult for him for the next three years

    tscottme Thanks this.
