What were you looking down at for a second that caused you to literally hit a brick wall? This isn't some little thing like you didnt see a deer.

 

Hitting a deer might have scared him more... I can imagine the screams when he turns on the wiper to clear the "flecks" and realizes they are blood spatter.

Yes deer do splatter onto the windshield occassionaly... Especially if you drive hood with a big moose guard.

 

I've seen pictures of what happens when a deer meets a moose gaurd, never hit one with mine yet.
