New trucking school

    I have a friend that might be trying to get into trucking I myself never started a bottom feeder or went to trucking school Got lucky and started local not trained for it. We both live in Texas
    But now he's looking to possibly start getting into trucking And looking for a company that'll train him Any ideas on what bottom feeder to start at His goal is to eventually getting the oil field

    There's no reason he has to start with a bottom feeder company. There are plenty of companies out there that will hire you. Most newbies go with these bottom feeders because the recruiters tell them its their only option and make it very easy to get a job with them. Recruiters get paid by those companies to send you to them so the recruiters don't let newbies know that there are many other options out there. Also good companies don't advertise. That don't have too. Their drivers are happy driving for them and they don't have a shortage of drivers all the time. These mega-carriers are constantly turning over drivers which is why they have to spend millions of dollars in advertising to get YOU to work for THEM! Also its much more economical to pay for cheap fresh meat labor than to keep experienced drivers and have to pay them for it. Try Craigslist. They often have some really good gigs posted on there. Also try this site....
