If you take a wrong turn in La it means that you might be on a 20 minute detour at the most getting back to where you started. If you take a wrong turn in New York City the top of your truck gets ripped off like a can opener or you get mugged and your load stolen. I will never ever go back there.
New York City is not that bad- it's just traffic

To be fair if you are a company guy and not receiving adequate incentive to run it then I agree with you. I didn't like it either. Now I get to keep all the money, once in a while it's a ...change of pace, let's say...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you take literally the wording in the atlas, 53' trailers aren't even allowed in NYC unless you're traveling to Long Island on the listed highways. I understand that this is rarely enforced. I took the GWB across to 87 north with no problem. It would be a long way around on 287 if you were going to southern CT or RI.

I95, I287, etc are all truck routes. -
It's just traffic parked in the middle of the road for your whole 14 hour clock. Parked in the intersection. Parked illegally. Parked way past the red and yellow curb markers... What could possibly go wrong?
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
