Ok, seriously, dont play the "you get to go home every night" card. You chose your line of work, we chose ours. Looking around the room right now, half of the people in here are former drivers. In Memphis. So yeah, dont go there.

I have mentioned several times on here, but I will again: you are welcome to come sit in with ECT. Come see how many messages come in, see why it sometimes takes an hour to respond to one, especially when the phone does not stop ringing for 12 hours. And if you run illegal, thats the choice you make! You will not get a service failure if you shut down because you are out of hours! You will not get a PCR, get fired.

Some problems we do not know about unless you tell us: loaded calls or empty calls for example. If it doesnt go through, you need to tell someone. And if I was a driver, and I was, lets not forget, I logged nearly a million miles, so I know just a little about trucking, I would not sweat in my truck. There were times when I would crank the truck up on Sunday night, and not shut it off until I got home again. Frankly, if I am not comfortable, I cannot sleep. Do you need to have your truck running while you are taking a shower? Well, no. But while you are trying to sleep, or if you are waiting on a load in the middle of nowhere and its 105 out, heck yes.

So I personally extend to you an invitation to come sit with ECT, sit with a planner, with JIT. See what its like. But dont say we dont appreciate what you guys do. Because that, my friend, is a lie.
