Panhandle:
Thanks for your reply. I know you have been there for a while, and have had your ups and downs, but you are still there correct? Sticking it out two years can't be because it was all bad? KLLM ended up calling me today and dquing me for a misdemeanor <than 5 years old. I called Con-Way just now and asked them about it, they said as long as that was all, and that's all I have, it's ok. T/A was the first to give me an invite, and the school says they have had the least problems with them when sending students there over a lot of other companies, but I know the school gets paid to send me there just the same. I'm still working with FFE also, since I know a local driver who is happy there and making good $. He came from the same school I attended( last year) and I just happened to run into him when he was getting a TWIC card and got to speak with him for a while once again since then. FFE's training pay is $100 more per week and they have tuition reimbursement as well. It's a tougher choice to make than I thought it would be. -
Do you have Pre-Pass, EZ Pass etc....? Can't find it on any of their info, or posts here. To me, running in the NE, EZ Pass is a big thing to consider time wise.

Con-Way would probably treat you with more respect than the other alternatives.

Con-WayTL and FFE are my two main choices right now. I called Con-Way again and they wanted me to fill the online app out(done) and call them on Monday. I like what I have read about both actually and as I said, I have a neighbor that drives for FFE who is more than pleased with what he makes. The more I read about TA everywhere, the less they appealed to me, except for the T660's with the autos and inverters....that does sound pretty good just the same. I need to make a choice by Tues or Wed at the latest. I can go to FFE or TA on the 16th with a phone call. I realize that I (my attitude) will play just as big a part in this as the company I choose, but would like to make a semi-informed decision.

I've stayed with them because I don't like the idea of job hopping and most of the smaller companies require 2 or 3 years of experience. Also have had 2 wrecks, and tho both have been classified as "non preventable", it is still on my record and with CSA, no distinction is made as to preventable or non preventable. Not sure how that is going to affect me but will be finding out shortly. Am on vacation and plan to apply with other companies and find out.
